Credence Solar has achieved another significant milestone by becoming the first Indian photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturer to secure Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification for its high-power 730W TOPCon modules. This certification reinforces Credence Solar’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge, high-efficiency solar solutions in compliance with the highest industry standards.
The newly certified 730W modules are based on advanced Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) technology and utilise 210mm wafers, marking a technological leap in India’s solar manufacturing sector. The company’s latest offering includes 18BB (busbar) glass-to-glass bifacial modules, designed for superior energy yield and long-term reliability.
“With this BIS certification, we reaffirm our position as a frontrunner in India’s solar manufacturing industry,” said Mr Jinto Joseph, Head of Sales and Marketing from Credence Solar. “Our 730W TOPCon modules set a new benchmark for efficiency and performance, ensuring greater energy output for utility-scale solar projects.”
This certification is a testament to Credence Solar’s robust R&D efforts and its commitment to adopting next-generation solar technologies. By pushing the wattage envelope while maintaining stringent quality and performance metrics, Credence Solar continues to solidify its reputation as a premier domestic PV module manufacturer.
The company’s 18BB 210mm-based bifacial modules, now BIS-certified up to 730W, are engineered to provide higher power generation with enhanced durability. The glass-to-glass construction ensures improved mechanical strength and resilience against environmental stressors, making them ideal for large-scale installations.
With this achievement, Credence Solar not only strengthens its leadership in the Indian solar industry but also aligns itself with the nation’s renewable energy ambitions by offering high-efficiency, BIS-certified modules to the market.
