Madhya Pradesh CM Announces ?2,000 Crore Investment for Narmadapuram Renewable Energy Hub

10 Dec 2024

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a major investment of ?2000 crore aimed at transforming the Narmadapuram region into a renewable energy hub. During the Regional Industrial Conference (RIC), he emphasised that the Mohasa-Babai industrial area would be a key driver of regional development. The land allocated for the solar power park has expanded from 227 acres to 884 acres, further accelerating this growth.

Mohan Yadav distributed land allotment letters for 20 industrial units at the RIC, aiming to boost employment for youth in Sohagpur, Itarsi, Seoni Malwa, Pipariya, and Pachmarhi. This initiative is expected to curb job-related migration from these areas. He highlighted Narmadapuram's potential for industrial growth due to its rich forest resources and excellent connectivity.

Industrial Development and Land Allocation

The government has offered land to investors at low rates, which has contributed to rapid industrial development in Narmadapuram. He stated that this RIC is the sixth event of its kind; similar events have been held earlier in Ujjain, Jabalpur, Rewa, Gwalior, and Sagar. The region has seen remarkable success in industrialisation in a short span of time.

Land allotment letters were issued to various companies, including Green Energy Private Limited (60 acres), Lands Mill Green Industry Private Limited (70 acres and 18 acres), Lands Mill Renewables Private Limited (30 acres), and Insolation Green Energy Private Limited (45 acres). These allocations are intended to support the expansion of the renewable energy sector.
