JSW Neo Energy Bags a 200 MW Wind-solar Hybrid Project

JSW Energy announced on Tuesday that its subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy, has received a letter of award (LoA) from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for setting up a wind-solar hybrid power project. The 200 MW wind-solar hybrid power project was awarded to JSW Neo Energy in a tariff-based competitive tarrif, as per a JSW Energy statement.

As a consequence of this capacity award, the company's total locked-in generation capacity has risen to 17.2 GW, encompassing a total locked-in hybrid capacity of 2.9 GW, inclusive of FDRE, as stated in the statement.

JSW Energy possesses a total locked-in generation capacity of 17.2 GW, comprising 7.5 GW of operational capacity, 2.3 GW under construction across wind, thermal, and hydro, and a renewable energy pipeline of 7.3 GW, with PPAs signed for 2.3 GW.

By FY25, the company expects to increase its installed generation capacity to 10 GW from 7.5 GW. The company has a locked-in energy storage capacity of 4.2 GWh through the use of battery energy storage systems and hydro-pumped storage projects.
