Let’s delve deeper into the unique specifications of Hi - MO7!

The Hi-MO 7 modules from Longi is a new generation product developed based on high-efficiency HPDC cell technology. Developed upon high-efficiency and reliable product design principles, these modules are innovative green energy solutions intended to meet the emerging demands of utility and distributed applications.

The flagship product of LONGi Solar for this year is undoubtedly the Hi-MO7 series. It is a new generation of high-efficiency modules and made its debut at REI with two types of products: LR5- 72HGD(2278mm*1134mm) with an impressive conversion efficiency of up to 22.8% and a maximum power output of 590W, and LR7- 72HGD(2382mm*1134mm) with an efficiency of up to 23.0% and a maximum power output of 620W. Hi-MO7 is developed for the utility market by adopting LONGi’s HPDC cell technology based on M10 n-type silicon wafer with a higher bifaciality of around 80%. Hi-MO 7 excels in power generation, reliability, bifaciality and power temperature coefficient, which make it ideal for use in environments with limited land area, high albedo, and elevated temperatures. With the release of the Hi-MO 7, LONGi has formed a product portfolio of “Hi-MO 5+Hi-MO 7” applied in the large-scale utility power plant market.

Best Power generation capabilities

The front side of the cells is applied with a local low-resistance contact layer. This exclusively helps in improving cell efficiency. With the higher bifacial ratio of the cells, which is around 80%, and the superior power temperature coefficient of -0.28%/C0, the cells can achieve a power generation potential of up to 3%.With the low and high junctions of backside of cells, it optimizes film design and advanced deposition techniques enable the solar cells to have full-area passivation with the least parasitic absorption.

Improved bifaciality by Design

With 590 W power rating and 22.8% efficiency and is built on an M10 wafer size. The improved bifaciality and temperature co-efficient properties of the Hi-MO 7 solar modules make them more effective than PERC cells. These cells can ensure optimal energy generation even in challenging environmental conditions. The Hi-MO 7 series is the significant result of multidimensional product design, rigorous quality raw materials and advanced manufacturing processes. These cells embrace high-quality monocrystalline silicon wafers, optimized module encapsulation.

Upgraded reliability

The robust construction of the cells makes them strongest against high wind pressures, heavy snow loads and other adverse weather conditions. The optimization characteristic of high-quality silicon wafers, cells, and module packaging design ensures upgraded reliability. The Hi-MO 7 cells are offered with a 12-year product warranty & a 25-year power warranty and with an annual degradation rate of 0.8% as the first-year degradation and thereafter up to 0.38%. This ensures the reliability of the modules throughout its life cycle.

 

 

 

BOS cost savings

 

Hi-MO 7 modules are based on M10 specification and this ensures excellence in compatibility with manual installation of large racks, cables and inverters. Besides being known for high-energy yield and low LID, these modules are also recognized for reduced BOS costs with higher module efficiency. The innovative design cuts down the LCOE by 3%- 4% compared to other system design mainstream PERC modules, and thus reduces the costs of balance of system, and AC terminal equipment and reduces the expenses related to the overall operation and maintenance throughout the project lifecycle.
